4. Review

I think it goes without saying that this is easily one of Logic’s best albums to date.

Even though “Under Pressure” is my favorite, and most people’s favorite Logic album, this was a very good follow-up project, with improved production, more cohesive skits/overall concept, and added lots of soulful samples, and multiple moments of singing from Logic that sounded surprisingly pretty solid.

The biggest takeaway for me was that it felt like Logic blended boom-bap rap with futuristic instrumentals really well on here, and truly honed in on making a cohesive piece of art with a great storyline from start to finish, and filled with memorable tracks like “City of Stars”, “Fade Away”, “Innermission”, and “Lord Willin’”, that have stood the test of time 8 years later. That’s ultimately what makes this a fan-favorite project.

A lot of people let Logic’s inconsistent discography damage their point of view on some of his projects, but that shouldn’t be the case for this well-crafted sophomore album.

This album is great.

5. Best Feature Artist in the Album

The best feature artist on ‘The Incredible True Story’ is Big Lenbo, especially for his contribution to “Young Jesus.”
