4. Review

It’s a weird comparison, but I always compare this album to “Born Sinner” by J. Cole. “Born Sinner” is definitely not J. Cole’s best album, but it has my favorite songs of his, always feels nostalgic, and is my favorite overall album by Cole… The same goes for “Long.Live.A$AP” by A$AP Rocky. It might not be his best, but it’s my favorite and easily my most played project of his.

Rocky was just 24 years old when he made this debut album, and it was following his classic mixtape “Live.Love.A$AP”. While it was a difficult project to follow, this was definitely a step up and he delivered timeless songs on here like “Goldie”, “1Train”, “F**kin’ Problems”, introspective tracks like “Phoenix” and “Suddenly”, and he fully showcased his flows, deliveries, songwriting, lyrical ability, and clever wordplay on this debut. All of this while being backed by great production and incredible features from Kendrick, Drake, Joey Bada$$, Danny Brown, etc…

This is turning 10 years old in 4 days, and I still bump it like it just dropped yesterday. That says a lot about the replay value.

This album is amazing.

5. Best Feature Artist in the Album

The best feature artist on ‘Long. Live. A$AP’ is Kendrick Lamar, especially for his contribution to “1Train.”
